The Gang’s Favorite Brews Of 2024
As we gear up for 2025, we’re taking a trip down memory lane to revisit the brews that stole the show. With so many Blue Owl beers to choose from, we asked the gang which ones they couldn’t put down this year.

Will Gardner | Brewer/Production
Favorite Beer: Lunch Box – PB&J Smoothie Sour Ale
“I think PBJ because who has time to chew their lunch?”

Elsie Geer | Design/Marketing
Favorite Beer:Bob’s Your Uncle Juicy IPA
“It’s nice to enjoy a solid IPA, and Bob’s Your Uncle is just that—crisp, hoppy, and with just the right balance of tropical fruit notes. It’s got a clean finish, that makes you want to go back for another sip. You know it’s a good beer when it doesn’t try to be anything it’s not—just straightforward and darn good.”

Danny Ochoa | Lead Brewer
Favorite Beer: Fruited Little Boss – Sour Yuzu Beer
“My favorite beer of 2024 was the Yuzu Little Boss. It was a simple take on the fruited Little Boss series that allowed the Yuzu fruit to shine on its own. The Yuzu was citrusy and bright, yet sweet and delicate. It was one of the more sessionable beers I think we’ve ever made.”

Suzy Shaffer | Co-Owner/Business Operations
Favorite Beer: Dapper Devil – Sour Raspberry Belgian-Style Ale
“Dapper Devil continues to steal my heart and is my all-time favorite. It’s my go-to celebratory beer every year. It also carries some nostalgia being our first ever seasonal and we knocked it out of the park. Plus, the mascot is pretty cute. 🙂 ”

Phill Vriseno | Tasting Room
Favorite Beer: Tiki Hop Totem
“Tiki Hop Totem was my favorite because I love/miss milkshake IPAs and the pineapple and coconut make me feel I’m on a tropical beach in a speedo.”

Vanessa Venenosa | Tasting Room
Favorite Beer: ¡Limetastico!
“One of my favorite year-round beers has continued to be ¡Limetastico! It’s the perfect balance of salty, bright citrus acidity and sweetness from the flaked maize. Aside from our seasonal Pickled Little Boss, my spicy Michelada-loving heart belongs to ¡limetastico! Pairs well with long bike rides, floating the river, or Friday shotgunning.”

Favorite Beer: Yessiree Bob’s Kölsch
“My favorite beer of the year was Yessiree Bob’s Kölsch, which was my go-to after a long day of work. It is very crushable and highly underrated…the little beer that could….could be chugged!

Jeff Young | Co-Owner/Executive Brewer
Favorite Beer: Bob’s Great Porter
“My favorite this year has been Bob’s Great Porter. I love drinking porters and I love making porters. They’re such a delicate balance of sweet, bitter, roasty, and malty. Every porter is slightly (or vastly) different and it’s fun to see where people fall on their favorite balance.”
